      Newsbeat has so many post layout options, but I can’t find one that doesn’t show the post’s featured image on the top.

      Sometimes we just want to insert the featured image manually in the middle of the post.

      Isn’t that possible, really?

      I don’t see this option.

      Besides, I want to be able to choose between showing the top image or not, per post. Is that possible?

      I really need that as an option. How hard is it for you to add a new layout option to the theme that doesn’t have a featured image on the top?

      Thank you very much in advance.

      Thanks a lot Jacob, that’ll do the trick for now!

      What are Overlay Post Template layouts, exactly?

      Cheers.

      Oh, I see. If I select layouts v4, v5 or v8, the featured image won’t be hidden by that option, correct?

      One more thing from that same example: I’ve set to show the byline in the single post template, but it’s not visible there (layout v12). Why?

      1) But that’s not a DIV for ad space, it’s for the featured image. Isn’t it?

      2) That’s weird, there’s plenty room to show the post’s author on that example. We can’t have posts without an author byline‚Ķ

      1) You didn’t reply.

      2) Yeah, I could set the above area for that, but then I’d have to set it above in all templates, right? It’s one setting for all layouts.

      1) Layout v12.

      2) I understand the variance among post layouts, but the problem is that the setting for where to show post meta is one for all post layouts.

      2) This is what I’m talking about: https://d.pr/i/cdxn5i

      If I add the post’s author to the top, in this specific layout it’s duplicated.

      1) Of course it does: https://d.pr/i/5vSecn

      Here’s the same post when I uncheck the option to not show the featured image (I zoomed out to make it better to see): https://d.pr/i/PbrND4

      2) How would I hide it only for this specific template via CSS?

      I’m sorry, the color was indeed some CSS of mine. But the issue remains: https://d.pr/i/AIhlFE

      This whole <div class="page-header p-h page-header-single p-h-s fullwidth shadow-bottom white-bg"> should be hidden when I disable the featured image, like this: https://d.pr/i/XMkUaD

      How about question 2 from #16486?

    • #16512

      I did it this way:

      .entry-meta.hidden-xs .byline.big.meta-info {
          display: none;
      }
      .sharing-buttons-wrapper.shr-btn-w.hidden-print.clearfix {
          margin-top: 0;
      }

      Thanks.
