Hi,
Recently when i tried to share a post on Facebook, it doesn’t show the Featured image. I used Facebook debugger to diagnose the problem and it shows “Multiple OG:URL”
I view source and indeed, there was two <meta property> with OG:URL. One by WordPress SEO – Yoast, and another one at the bottom.
I did a few trial and error by first disabling the meta on WordPress SEO. The multiple OG URL went away, but still it doesn’t show the featured image.
I turned it back on and tried with my older post – which works even with multiple og:url so i’m not sure why recently my latest post does not have a featured image.
I did not make any changes to the theme for months, neither did i install any plugin so i’m not sure why it is starting to give me problem now.
A few things i need help on:
Since i did not install any plugins recently, the problem seems to be with the theme. In that case, can i check if you guys have added a meta property into the theme for Facebook itself? Is there a way i can disable it to see if it fixes the problem? Is there a way you guys can take a look to see if the theme is indeed causing the problem?

Hi, I am having exactly the same problem.. some of my posts show with images, some not.
Looking into it with the facebook debugger, it says:
Errors That Must Be Fixed
More Than One OG URL Specified Object at URLmy developer has asked to speak with you.
Please let me know how to resolve it.
thanks

make sure to reject these user agents in the “page cache” tab in W3 Total Cache:
————————-
facebookexternalhit
FacebookExternalHit/1.1
FacebookExternalHit/1.0This will block W3 Total Cache from sending cached pages to Facebook. This solved my issue with thumbnails and descriptions.

Hi There!
I have my test site setup now, and no cache or third-party plug-in installed yet.
The thing is, when I share a post via Facebook, I have to cancel out and click the share button a second time, in order for the featured image to appear!
Strange!?

Update: I tried again today, and sharing with Featured Image worked right away. So this could be a Facebook issue…

Hi There!
I SOMETIMES (not always) experience issues when sharing posts on Facebook.
The last week or so, I had to click and cancel the Facebook Share button TWO times.
Only after the THIRD click, the featured image appears in the share.I can work around this, because I know the solution, but the user does not, so they end up with a share with no featured image…
Tried several browsers, but all have the same behaviour. It could be a Facebook-issue, but I would be glad if you looked into the code. Maybe there are things you could improve.
Cheers!
P.S.: This issue seems to arise when sharing the post for the FIRST time. After tha post is shared once, all seems fine.
