I’m of course migrating my site from a previous theme to Newsbeat, and settings are all different.

I was thinking in running a MySQL query to switch, for example, all current post layout settings to an equivalent option in Newsbeat — “v5”, let’s say.

However, on my current theme that is done via WordPress’ custom fields. I’ve set a post to use “v5” in Newsbeat, but I don’t see any custom field related to it showing up.

How does Newsbeat store those selections?

      Cheers.

Oh, I didn’t know there was such a thing.

Is there any way to, let’s say, temporarily un-hide those fields to see how do they work, so I can make those updates to all my previous posts?

Well, I don’t define post layouts based on category. I define it based on each post, it really depends on its content.

My current theme has 3 post layouts (set via custom fields) and I’d love to be able to run a MySQL query and choose 3 “equivalent” layouts from the ones inside Newsbeat.

Got it. I’m studying it right now, but I think I’ll manage what I need via a series of MySQL query commands.

      Cheers.
