Home page : recent articles ?

sorry I am new on web matters, so I don’t understand …

where do I have to copy past this code “add_filter( ‘yt_exclude_featured_post_ids’, ‘__return_false’ );”

I found the document called “custom-functions.php” … Where do I have to put the code ?

And then do I have to copy past this document in Filezilla ?

Well I have just seen that if I can’t make it with this code, I still can remove the hero banner and then I can have my recent posts in the main part of the home page.

But if I choose to keep hero banner, what kind of static page am I suppose to use as a home page ? My “about” page ? or some general news ? do you have some advice ? Thank you so much 🙂

(I would still prefere to manage it with the code… )

I have found Menu Apparence –> Editor and the custom-functions.php on the right.

When I open it where do I have to put your code… ?

Do I have to borrow everything and put the code instead ? I am afraid to do something wrong…
