Thanks Jacob,
2 further questions:
1. Which file did you change so when a) I upgrade wordpress or b) your theme I will know which file not to overwrite.
2. I cannot delete any plugins now since you made the change. Did you change wordpress core files?ERROR: Plugin could not be deleted due to an error: Could not fully remove the plugin(s) custom-sidebars/customsidebars.php.

OK the Step 2 workaround worked although I will have to put up with the “error” popup in admin and inline css (not ideal)
BTW, CHMOD 755 on the child /css directory did not work.
If I send you admin access (ftp and wordpress) can you take a look? How can I PM these details to you?

Hi There,
FTP issue fixed. Automatic download of plugins without credentials.
It’s not the cause of the “error” message. The error still exists. Can you please take another look?
thanks. - May 31, 2014 at 4:56 am #2554
Also, interestingly no other installed theme with options panels have any write permission issues.
Which php file contains the code to write the options to a css file?
