      For the classic layout, the Elegance theme is using full-size images on the home page and sidebar then resize them in HTML. This is bad practice because it affects the site’s performance. The classic layout should display the post thumbnails instead (thumb on the left and title/excerpt on the right). How do I update the index, archive, and sidebar to use thumbnails instead?

      I see this in content.php – let me know what to edit or if there’s a way to fix it in functions.php

      ...class="entry-thumbnail" rel="bookmark" title="<?php echo esc_attr( get_the_title() ); ?>"><?php the_post_thumbnail( $thumb_size ); ...

      The theme is resizing the image with CSS:

      .site-content article.hentry.layout-classic .entry-thumbnail {
          margin-right: 30px;
          max-width: 260px;
      }
