      Hi Jacob,

      I am want to have a home page starting with a full width background image, followed by the carousel, then recent blogs.

      The problem I have is that I don’t get the recent blog posts on the home page and the same page shows on the blog page. I have set front page to => “home” and blog to => “blog”

      I am RoR developer but completely new at modifying WordPress themes. I should easily understand any direction you can give. Thanks!

      Sorry, here is the properly formatted code.

      Okay,

      ====================================
      PLEASE DISREGARD ALL PREVIOUS POSTS!
      ====================================
      After working with the theme for a few hours my request for help is as follows:

      – How can I make a home page template like this?
      homepage layout example

      I would like to have two blog layouts on one site. I am using the default style for the blog page.

      I would like to have a modified (just adding a full-width, no-container, div) above the carousel for the home page.

      Home page = modified carousel layout
      Blog = is using default layout ** I do not need help here **

      I would greatly appreciate your help. Thanks

      Thank you for the reply, it worked!

      My final questions are:

      1) How can I have two pages with different blog post layouts? I want the “Carousel Header” for the Front page and the “Default(Static Posts)” for the Posts page.

      If I set one layout: Theme Options -> Hero Banner -> Layout Type -> Carousel, it will set both pages to Carousel.

      2) How can I also have blog posts on the Front Page while Settings > Reading > Posts page is different?

      I would greatly appreciate the help. Thank you..

      I am currently modifying the template pages, so please, feel free to direct me to a specific theme file and line of code to change. I can easily do what you ask.

      I’m also interested in setting up the home page in this way. Is there a way to do this via a page builder? Is there a page builder option with this theme and a shortcut to the shortcodes used in the demo? thx

      Thank you Maxxi! I now have both blog layouts.

      The problem is that using the provided shortcode for the “posts list” gives me different styling than the blog page posts. I see large blurry images (thumbnails) and no blog post excerpt. Can you please help correct the output of the “post list” shortcode. I really appreciate everyone’s help. Thanks.
