Hi ,
Just to let you know that when you use the Evato tool on Git hub to update a theme, when you click on details to see what’s changed it bring up a blank page.
Is it possible to start a thread on here, or get the link working on the updater just so we can see what changes are happening?
Thanks

Thanks. Also whenever i try and use the Envato updater it won’t do the update like I thought it would.
To get it to update I have to do the following
1. Change my theme
2. Activate to temp theme
3. Delete Elegance
4. Use the Envato tool to install new version
5. Activate the new version.Any ideas on how to apply updates easier?

Hi Jacob.
Just coming back to yo on this one.
I’ve tried that and still comes up with the error
Destination folder already exists. /home/content/p3pnexwpnas10_data02/64/2479064/html/wp-content/themes/wpthms-elegance/Theme install failed.
Also its saying that the theme isn’t installed even tho I swapped themes, deleted it, used the Envato tool to install.
Any ideas?

Ok, so deleted the themes entirely within WP.
Gone in via FTP and checked there was nothing left over in wp-content/themesWent to the Envato WordPress Tool kit
Installed, said it installed successfullySame error again.
Am i supposed to install the child theme or something else? Any ideas because you guys are great at pushing out updates for fixes but I don’t want to have to keep manually deleting and re adding the theme.
Thanks

Fantastic news and what a find. Funnily enough i’d been looking at the E and wondering if that was it and thinking, naaaaa that can’t be it.
Look forward to the new release.

Saw your 2nd reply as I pressed send. That doesn’t work unfortunately. Even if you pave and nuke you still get the error.

So what should I do now to update my version of the theme ?
could you please explain step by step ?
should I uninstall the envato plugin ?
- March 13, 2015 at 12:11 pm #7840
Right now if you’re site is working fine and no errors then sit tight and wait for the next release which will only be around the corner if any previous experience is to go by.
If you feel the need to update. Make a backup of your theme options under the theme options.
Change the theme
Delete Elegance theme from appearance – Themes
Use the gitbub tool to re install
Select the elegance theme again and activateand i think thats about it till the new version lands upon us.

my site is working fine, it’s just the problem of the first row of “you may also like” links that are not clickable as someone mentioned before you issued an update. So no big deal.
I hope that there will be an easier way to update when you have a new version of the theme, I don’t feel confortable at all with uninstalling the theme, so I prefer to wait and hope I will get clear explanations of how to update regularly as the new versions come out.
My main concern is the translation still not resolved, open on another thread.
