    1)
    Theme Options – Styling Options – Custom CSS
    Add:
    .site-head-ads {
    background-color: #000000; //or any you want
    }

    2)
    Add:
    /*upper level*/
    .site-header .main-navigation .menu > li > a {
    color: #af5456; //or any you want
    }
    /*inside headings*/
    #site-navigation {
    color: #af5456; //or any you want
    }
    /*inner level*/
    .site-header .main-navigation .menu ul li a {
    color: #af5456; //or any you want
    }

    OR

    /*for everything at once forever :)*/
    #site-navigation, #site-navigation a {
    color: #af5456 !important; //or any color you want
    }

    3) Yeah. That occurs then you set featured images with different heights. Please use images 710*434 px.
    But I wonder why there is no spaces between images on your screenshot. Default bootstrap styles have paddings.

    PS

    in first case you may use more funny example.
    Try this

    .site-head-ads {
    background: #3498db;
    background: -moz-linear-gradient(left, rgba(52,152,219,0.5) 0%, rgba(52,152,219,0.5) 12.5%, rgba(46,204,113,0.5) 12.5%%, rgba(46,204,113,0.5) 25%, rgba(135,204,46,0.5) 25%, rgba(135,204,46,0.5) 37.5%, rgba(244,203,13,0.5) 37.5%, rgba(244,203,13,0.5) 50%, rgba(255,90,0,0.5) 50%, rgba(255,90,0,0.5) 62.5%, rgba(231,60,145,0.5) 62.5%, rgba(231,60,145,0.5) 75%, rgba(155,89,182,0.5) 75%, rgba(155,89,182,0.5) 87.5%, rgba(86,96,144,0.5) 87.5%, rgba(86,96,144,0.5) 100%);

    Hi shalomanov,

    thanks for the reply,

    1) it worked fine.

    2) it didnt work for the font color, what could be the reason?

    3) i used a code one of you guys posted on this forum to eliminate the padding, thast the reason but still get the main picture bigger than the other two togethr , Note : with any picture.

    4) i also wanted to know how to have that custome home page with the same custom post display like in this thread

    Custom Category Layout

    Also, where should i place the long code you provided, and what would it do .

    Thanks again and sorry im not an experienced programmer or anything close

    2)
    it works for me
    Make sure you pasted style to Theme Options – Styling Options – Custom CSS
    Make sure you didn’t copypaste all the text I’d provided. Just paste

    #site-navigation, #site-navigation a {
    color: #af5456 !important; //or any color you want
    }

    Make sure nothing overwrites that styles later.

    3)

    i used a code one of you guys posted on this forum to eliminate the padding

    dacam84, so why are you surprised that pictures are not equal?
    Sizes of thumbnails are set taking paddings into account.
    If you wish to delete paddings you should change picture sizes. Set medium images half of full images width and height (355*217) and regenerate thumbnails. And watch you upload images 710*434px as featured.

    But I recommend to use paddings %)

    With question 4 let’s wait for developers answer.

    Sure that’s CSS 🙂
    Just use it and you will see very colored background for ad banner.
    The CSS is so big because different browsers use own styles for gradients.
