If I overwrite the theme file via FTP I will lose any customization I’ve performed to the site. Are there specific files that can be updated to minimize the issue?

    THanks.

I have created a child theme – so i need to know just what to update too.

And what happened ? My clients are asking what the issues is. I made no changes to the website – it just stopped working.
