    How do I re-enable the “edit” tabs on node pages in this theme?

    Any help as to which tpl file I need to modify within the Maxx theme folder. I am assuming “page.tpl.php.” And was it the “$action_links (array)” that was removed from the theme?<?php if ($action_links): ?><ul class=”action-links”><?php print render($action_links); ?><?php endif; ?>

    This feature is a great feature for clients as they can navigate the site as an end user and simply click “Edit” to edit  a page. Thanks

    For some reason the attachment on your post did not show up in my browser until I switched browsers. After dropping the attached files in and overwriting the existing ones the “tabs” still do not show. I cleared the cache several times and even restarted my httpd service.  I also switched the code to ” <?php if ($tabs): ?><div class=”tabs”><?php print render($tabs); ?></div><?php endif; ?>” as well as deleting the page.tpl file.

    Is there some CSS somewhere that is hiding the tab element?

    I have tried Chrome, Firefox, Safari, IE & Opera. No Edit/View tabs on any node. Also double checked roles/permissions as well as several CSS files. I have no custom CSS on the site. Did not work with a fresh test install either. Was there a block created for this? I tried several and no joy.

    Any more suggestions? I told my client I would fix this a couple weeks ago. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!

    This fixed the issue! Thank you very much for your support! In order to get edit tabs on the portfolio item pages I added the following to the page-node-portfolio.tpl.php fie as well:
     <!--entry content-->
    <div class="entry-content"><?php
    if (!empty($tabs['#primary']) || !empty($tabs['#secondary'])):
    print render($tabs);
    endif;
    print render($page['content']); ?></div>
    <!--/entry content-->
