    I’ve been trying to make all my website a bit smaller in the margins (paddings) and I’ve been unsuccessful.

    I have tried this codes

     .container {width: 1100px;
    }

    and also

    .container {
    padding-right: 30px;
    padding-left: 30px;
    margin-right: auto;
    margin-left: auto;
    }

    the first one works only on desktop and doesn’t scales on mobile, the second one works well but it also affects mobiles. It adds a lot of padding to it.

    I want it to be 1100px or 30 padding on the left and right but without affecting the mobile version.

    Thanks in advance.

    PS. I dont need the code anymore but it will be good to include it in this post in case someone else needs it 🙂

    That works :). I tried it without your code and basically the mobile version gets wrecked. Once you put them inside it fixes that.

    Thank you MAXXI!

    PS: I tried to make the website a slight bigger, but I notice all the customizations done to the css stopped working after passing the determine px, fonts went back to default, footer background changed to default, and other things of that nature.

    I basically want to make the website have this properties

    @media (min-width: 1217px){
    	.container {
    		width: 1217px;
    		padding-right: 20px;
    		padding-left: 20px;
    }

    And I believe I have to do something to the custom-functions.php

    I am not sure..

    any idas?

    thanks in advance
