I have a bit of a tricky issue:
when i ‘m on homepage and I click on any post I go into its single page and right at the top – under main menu is the start of my post. BUT, if I click on any particular category in main header – when I go into sinle page post, I first get the name of the category, a horizontal rule and then the list of articles. How can I delete this category name after clicking on header as it looks horrific.I’ve attached a screenshot so you can see this.

i added the code and there is no change.
perhaps I might not have explained this a well. let me try again: whenever i click on any one of my categories i get a space with the name of the category; foloowed by a horizontal rule and then the lists of posts in the category. I would like to remove the name of the category whenever i click on the main heading as it looks a bit clumsy with the double heading.

Just an additional question: since I noticed it a few minutes ago: in homepage my blog excerpts are perfect (generated atomatically from theme options menu). When i click on each category in main header its another issue…the excerps are much longer as they include information on the article author? How can I remove this author information from showing in theses post excerpts?
