I noticed that placing an ad in ‘before post’ only shows the ad in mobile not in desktops, was this intended? I really like the idea of being able to show some ads in mobile.

Is there a way to do the opposite? show ads on desktop and hiding them in mobile?

Basically I want to have the top banner ad to display in the desktop but to disappear on mobiles since I am already using the before single post ad. Would look really cramp in mobile having both.

Is there a way to do the same but for the bottom ads while allowing the top ads to show? I am showing the top ads after the menu (.site-head-ads) but I believe they are both connected with the ones in the footer.

haha o man thats trouble. I am thinking I will use css to hide the ads, but my question is, if the ad is not showing then that means it is not counted. In other words, if the ads is not showing then is not being loaded and if its not being loaded that means it doesn’t exist right? so google shouldnt penalise me for that.

Actually I found what I was looking: I found this from google help

    “Hiding an ad unit

In certain cases, particularly on smaller mobile devices, you might not want to show an ad at all. If you do want to hide an ad unit, you can set a parameter with CSS media queries so that no ad request is made and no ad is shown. The following example shows you how to make these modifications:”

here is the screenshot I took with some examples:

I’ll link to the page in case you guys have a further person asking about this.

    https://support.google.com/adsense/answer/3543893#hide

as well as other cases you are allow to hide or forbidden to do it.

seems like I will be able to use your code after all. Thank you jacob

Jacob I was also wondering about the ad “Before single post” how do I make it show also in big screens? I notice its (max-width: 767px) I want it to have no restrictions.

    Thank you

Jacob could you take a look to my website. I am using normal resizable ads and I in no way restricting this ad. it just don’t show up in screens larger than 991px. I will leave it enabled so you can take a look. This ad after the images and before the text doesn’t show up at all and has been this way since I’ve been using sparkles

double bump. This is still an issue. I did notice you guys changed the “before post ad” to be after the first paragraph, which is great. Still this ad only shows for me in screens size 700 and under. Why? I checked my code and I dont see nothing that should be interfering with this.

Also how can I move the in between ad to shoe before the second last paragraph? Or last paragraph for that matter?

    Thank you,

Perhaps this can be done by simply pasting an ad code?

although it doesnt work as great since the ad is embeded as a paragraph. Its weird

    check ad here http://www.ultrabodymind.com/make-your-new-years-resolution-stick/?preview=true

you can see how much spacing it uses

There are plugins out there that focus in this type of issue. I will try them and update this post.
